Please be aware that anti choice protesters gather in front of the EMW Women’s Surgical Center on most mornings.  There are far more protesters present on Saturdays than there are on other days.  If you want to avoid the crowd and it is at all possible, you may want to schedule your appointment for another day.

No matter what day you can make your appointment there will be someone to walk with you.

Escorts wear bright orange safety vests. We will always ask if you would like us to walk with you.  There are anti choice protesters present as well.  Some of them wear bright yellow vests, some wear plain clothes.  It is easy to tell the difference between escorts and protesters.  Escorts will always ask consent before walking with a client, and we respect people’s wishes to not walk with escorts, if that is their choice.

If you do not wish to be addressed by the protesters, please state to them clearly that you do not wish to speak with them, and that you want them to leave you alone.  Some may back off.  Most will not.  Escorts are available to walk with you and will try to put space between you and the protesters.  If you are clear that you wish to be left alone and someone continues to bother you they are breaking the law.  If you choose, you may contact the police or a lawyer about any harassment from protesters.
